Production Samples A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, I was production/technical director at WGRE, 91-5FM, student radio at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. Below are some samples of my work from this portion of my career. Note these were all done 20 or so years ago, in an era before any of the digital editing systems that are now commonplace. We used a combination of razor blades and splicing tape and/or firing multiple elements live-to-tape (yes, tape) in a production studio, using as many takes as needed to get a piece to sound just right. I often wonder what might have been had today's digital tools been available when I was producing these. But even after all these years, I don't think they sound that bad. I haven't had much opportunity to do production as my career has progressed, but this was a fun time while it lasted. Here are some of my favorites.
